Brainerd Fire responds to several calls

Firefighters respond

The Brainerd Fire Department responded to several calls during the past weekend.

At 1:37 a.m. Saturday, firefighters responded to a truck that hit a power box on McKay Road and Birch Lane in Brainerd. Firefighters stayed on scene until the power company arrived. Then at 5:21 p.m. Saturday, firefighters responded to a vehicle fire on the 5000 block of Brentwood Road in Baxter. The fire was out prior to the department’s arrival.

At 6:45 p.m. Sunday, firefighters responded to a fire alarm at the Country Inn And Suites, 15058 Dellwood Drive, Baxter. It was reported that the detector had a malfunction.

Monday morning firefighters responded to two property damage crashes, one involving a bus on Southeast 16th and Pine streets in Brainerd and one involving a moped on Mississippi Parkway and College Drive in Baxter.
