Girl Scout volunteer appreciation events set

Girl Scouts of Minnesota and Wisconsin Lakes and Pines is planning events in Brainerd, St. Cloud and Duluth to show its appreciation to the adult volunteers. Events in area will be held from 12-3 p.m. April 20 at Camp Shingobee Timbers, near Walker and from 6:30-8 p.m. April 25 at Central Lakes College cafeteria in Brainerd

Girl Scout Leader’s Day is April 22 and this year’s theme is Girl Scout Volunteers Rock.

Amanda Unger of Baxter designed the artwork for a thank you card being sent to 2,800 Girl Scouts adult volunteers throughout northern Minnesota and northwest Wisconsin. Unger is in sixth grade and is a Girl Scout Cadette. Honorable mention in the artwork design contest went to Kealey Pank and Savanna B. Adams, both of Duluth; and Hailey Devriendt, Royalton.

All events are free to current Girl Scout volunteers, but pre-registration is necessary. Call the Girl Scout office at 800-955-6032 to register.
