Crosslake woman still in serious condition after her vehicle crashed with a semitrailer

CROSSLAKE — The 77-year-old Crosslake woman, who was injured when the van she was driving crashed with a semitrailer Wednesday at the intersection of Crow Wing County Roads 3 and 11, south of Crosslake, Friday continued to be in serious condition at St. Cloud Hospital.

Myrne Holmen was traveling south on Crow Wing County Road 3 and the semitrailer driven by Michael Ermel, 42, Battle Creek, Mich., was eastbound on Crow Wing County Road 11, crossing Crow Wing County Road 3 when the crash occurred. Ermel was not injured.

Holmen was transported by North Memorial Ambulance to Essentia Health-St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Brainerd, where she was treated and then transferred to St. Cloud Hospital.
