Biotechnology Ethical Considerations at CLC

Presentation planned at The Center for Lifelong Learning at CLC

Stem cell research. Human cloning. Designer babies. They may sound like plots from sci-fi movies, but much thought and work is being put into the field of biotechnology. The Center for Lifelong Learning at Central Lakes College will present “Can We? Should We? Biotechnology Ethical Considerations” from 4-6 p.m. Tuesday at the CLC Brainerd Campus.

This session will present the potential of developing biotechnologies, as well discuss the ethical ramification of such realities and possibilities. Presenters are Herb Ollila and Elizabeth Mayers, instructors at Central Lakes College.

Cost to attend this event is $6 for non-members or free for those with a Center for Lifelong Learning membership. Pre-registration is recommended and can be made by calling 855-8118.

I've worked at the Brainerd Dispatch with various duties since Dec. 7, 1983. Starting off as an Ad Designer and currently Director of Audience Development. The Dispatch has been an interesting and challenging place to work. I'm fortunate to have made many friends, both co-workers and customers.
