Crow Wing Canoe Days and Fur Trade Encampment set for Saturday

Step into a canoe in Brainerd and step out into a fur trade encampment at Crow Wing State Park. Crow Wing Canoe Days and Fur Trade Encampment is scheduled for Saturday.

Canoeists should plan on arriving at Kiwanis Park between 10-11 a.m. The trip starts at 11 a.m. with arrival down-river at Crow Wing State Park about 1:30 p.m. Crow Wing County Land Services will provide a shuttle from Crow Wing State Park back to Kiwanis Park for canoeists to pick up their vehicles. Be sure to pack a picnic lunch.

Vehicle permits are not required on June 15.

The Fur Trade Encampment is hosted by the Crow Wing County Muzzleloaders. From 10 a.m.-3 p.m. members will demonstrate crafts from the old days.
