Quarterdeck Resort and The LakeShore Lodge on the west shore of Gull Lake will be hosting its second annual In-the-Water Boat Show, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday and Sunday.

The family entertainment event includes wakeboard shows with aerial tricks such as flips, back rolls and tantrums along with live music.

“We are pleased that the event will also include a raffle and silent auction to benefit the Confidence Learning Center,” said Nick Miller of Prairie Bay’s Getaway Bistro at Quarterdeck Resort.

According to Sarah Sellnow, special events coordinator for the Confidence Learning Center, sponsors and area businesses have donated more than $9,000 in prizes, including a SunStream $2,000 Florida Getaway vacation, a Hobie Mirage Outback Kayak, dockside furniture, waterski package, towable tube, four hour fishing charter and many more.

“We are excited that six boat dealers will be participating in this year’s show including Nisswa Marine, Minnesota Inboard, Tracker Marine Boat Center, FLOE International, Power Lodge and HiTempo,” Miller said.

There will be as many as 30 of the newest models in the water, including high performance tow boats, runabouts, fishing boats, pontoons and kayaks from top manufacturers such as Nautique, Malibu, Tracker, Premier, Moomba, SeaRay, Mako, Nitro, Axis, Ranger, Excursion, Lund, FLOE Craft and Hobie.

Live music will be performed by the Castaways plus lunch available all day to include a pig roast, hamburgers, melts, salads and libations served on the lakeside patio at the Prairie Bay’s Getaway Bistro Tiki Bar. The LakeShore Lodge and our sponsor boat dealers will also be giving away hats, T-shirts and other sports items donated by the boat manufacturers throughout the weekend.

Participants are welcome to join the activity on the beach and the docks and to test drive the boats.
