■ Motorcycle

versus deer

The Minnesota State Patrol Monday investigated a serious injury crash involving a motorcycle and a deer on Minnesota Highway 18 and Crow Wing County Road 23, east of Brainerd.

It was reported that a Harley-Davidson Road, with a driver and a passenger, was traveling eastbound on Highway 18 when a deer ran into the motorcycle. The names of the injured were not released Monday afternoon.

The Crow Wing County Sheriff’s Office and the Brainerd Fire Department assisted at the scene.

■ Brainerd woman injured in

rear-end crash

A 25-year-old Brainerd woman was injured when another vehicle rear-ended her vehicle at 11:22 a.m. Saturday on Highway 210 and Elder Drive in Baxter, the Baxter Police Department reported.

Toni Jonak was taken to Essentia Health-St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Brainerd where she was treated and released.

The other driver, Sandra Mayavski, 50, St. Cloud, was not injured.

The Crow Wing County Sheriff’s Office and the Brainerd Fire Department assisted at the scene.

■ Brainerd woman injured in collision

A 28-year-old Brainerd woman was injured when another vehicle rear-ended her vehicle at 3:56 p.m. Friday on Highway 371 and Woida Road in Baxter, the Baxter Police Department reported.

Amy Getty was taken to Essentia Health-St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Brainerd where she was treated and released.

The other driver, Mark Sell, 50, Brainerd, was not injured.

The Brainerd Fire Department assisted at the scene.
