Garbage and food on fire

The Brainerd Fire Department responded to a call at 4:21 p.m. Monday at a home on the 1000 block of Green Gables Road, north of Baxter. It was reported that the fire alarm went off because of burnt food and firefighters were canceled en route.

Firefighters also responded to a call at 7:43 p.m. Sunday at Garfield Elementary School, 1120 10th Ave. NE, to a garbage bin on fire.
