The Center for Lifelong Learning at Central Lakes College will kick off the fall with a special event featuring Minnesota Public Radio icon and author Cathy Wurzer Sept. 12 at Central Lakes College Brainerd Campus. She is also the co-host of “Almanac,” a weekly public affairs program produced by Twin Cities Public Television for Minnesota’s statewide public television network. She has also been a talk show host for WCCO-AM radio, a producer for KMSP-TV, and political reporter for KSTP-AM radio.

During this special event, Wurzer will speak about her book “Tales of the Road: Highway 61,” the iconic highway stretching along Minnesota’s North Shore. Photojournalist Denny Behr will also be on hand to share photos from the road.
