Little Falls man injures arms in corn picker

LITTLE FALLS — A 32-year-old Little Falls man suffered severe injuries to both of his arms Tuesday when they got stuck in a corn picker in a field west on 10451 140th Street in Pike Creek Township near Little Falls, reported the Morrison County Sheriff’s Office.

Upon arrival of deputies, James Houdek had already freed himself from the machinery. Deputies and Gold Cross Ambulance personnel quickly treated Houdek and transported him to St. Gabriel’s Hospital in Little Falls where he was then airlifted to North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale.

The incident was reported at 12:25 p.m.

The sheriff’s office was assisted by Gold Cross Ambulance, Little Falls Fire Department and Life Link III.
