One killed; three seriously injured in crash

■ Two people injured in crash

BAXTER — Two people were injured in a two-vehicle crash reported at 11:01 a.m. Monday on Dellwood Drive and Clearwater Road, the Baxter Police Department reported.

Barbe Perreault, 59, Pillager, and Arianna Felland, 18, Brainerd, were transported to Essentia Health-St. Joseph’s Medical Center, where they were treated and released.

■ One killed; three seriously injured in crash

MILACA — A 13-year-old Milaca girl was killed and three others were seriously injured Tuesday when the Dodge Caravan they were in collided with a tractor-trailer at the intersection of Highway 23 and 127th Avenue in Mille Lacs County, reported the Minnesota State Patrol.

Katrina Maetzold was killed.

The driver of the van, Tristen Maetzold, 17, Milaca, was transported to North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale. Two other passengers in the van were Devon Maetzold, 11, and Patience Maetzold, 16, both of Milaca. Devon was taken to North Memorial and Patience was taken to St. Cloud Hospital, where she was discharged. The hospital could not report if Patience was transferred to another hospital. Condition information on Tristen and Devon was not available later Tuesday.

Driving the freight truck was Thomas Dietz, 51, Milaca, who was not injured.

The crash was reported at 7:54 a.m.

The Mille Lacs County Sheriff’s Office assisted the state patrol on scene.
