Crash between propane tanker and semi carrying gasoline injures one

Two tankers, one with propane and the other carrying gasoline, crashed on County Highway 21 in Todd County.

The collision was reported at 11:54 a.m. Thursday.

Both vehicles were traveling north on the highway. The single-axel propane tanker, a 1998 International owned by Lakes Gas of Forest Lake, was driven by Lawrence Doll of Eagle Bend. Doll was making a left turn onto 370th Street. The gas tanker, a 2006 Peterbilt owned by Wayne Transport of Rosemount, was driven by Scott Carpenter of Wadena. The Todd County Sheriff’s office reported Carpenter was attempting to pass causing the crash.

Both vehicles sustained moderate damage. Doll suffered a minor injury. Carpenter was not injured.

The tanks on both trucks remained intact and no contents spilled, the sheriff’s department reported.

Clarissa and Browerville fire departments along with the Minnesota State Patrol assisted at the scene.
