Crow Wing Power crews restore power

Crow Wing Power crews braved Monday’s early morning temperatures to restore electricity to about 688 customers, who live southeast of Brainerd, along Highway 18.

Char Kinzer, public relations manager, said the first report of the outage came at about 3 a.m. Monday, Jan. 27, after cold weather apparently snapped a guy-wire which then hit a transformer, causing the outage. Power was resumed to customers by 6:30 a.m.
