Vintage snowmobile racing on tap this weekend
The 17th annual “the original” One Lunger 100 event has 100 miles of vintage snowmobile racing Saturday on Gull Lake.
The event is hosted by Cragun’s Resort near Brainerd.
A driver check-in and kick-off party is planned 6-8 p.m. Friday. Driver check-in and registration is from 6-8 a.m. in the main lobby with drivers on the ice by 10 a.m and racing at 11 a.m.
A banquet and social hour is set 5-6 p.m. followed by dinner and an award presentation and entertainment.
Racing events include single drivers or teams of two drivers with an entry fee of $100 per sled and $40 bib deposit. The $10,000 purse includes payouts for each class with $1,500 for first place, $1,000 for second place, $500 for third place, $250 for fourth place and $100 for fifth place. Trophies are awarded to the top 10 in each class.
