Firefighters respond to multiple calls

The Brainerd Fire Department responded to a call at 9:39 a.m. Monday on the 1100 block of Green Gables Road to a fire alarm. Firefighters investigated, found nothing and then cleared.

Firefighters responded to a call at 7:27 p.m. Saturday of smoke in a residence on Jessica Lane in Brainerd. Firefighters investigated and found that an extension cord that was wrapped with heat tape caught on fire.
