Cuyuna Range Youth Center lists February activities

On Wednesdays, the Cuyuna Range Youth Center offers tutoring for any student wanting or needing a little extra help. To make arrangements for any tutoring, please contact Brad Hanson at 218-831-1865.

On Friday, Feb. 7, the Cuyuna Range Youth Center is having “Pizza Friday” at the youth center at 6 p.m. The pizza is free and will be offered every Friday night during the month of February. The event for students in the 7–12th grades. More information is available by calling Brad Hanson at 831-1865.

On Wednesday, Feb. 12, the seniors from the Care Center will be at the Cuyuna Range Youth Center from 3:30-5 p.m. They will be playing Senior Bingo. If you would like to come and watch, participate, or help someone with their card, please contact Brad Hanson at 218-831-1865.

On Thursday, Feb. 13, The Cuyuna Range Youth Center offers free supper for the seventh–12th graders at 5 p.m. At 4 p.m. there is a Goalball demonstration by student Rocky Hart and his instructor Diane Grundy. Goalball is a team sport designed specifically for blind or visually impaired athletes. The students at the youth center will have the opportunity to participate in this exciting Canadian Olympic sport.

On Friday, Feb. 14, the Cuyuna Range Youth Center is having “Pizza Friday” at the youth center at 6 p.m. The pizza is free and will be every Friday night during the month of February. This event is for students in the 7– 12 grades.

On Sunday, Feb. 16, the Cuyuna Range Youth Center is having a “Cooking Class” for seventh–12th graders from 5–7 p.m. at the center.

On Monday, Feb. 17, the Cuyuna Range Youth Center is available to the fifth- and sixth-grade youth to allow them have some wind-down time, fun with their friends, an opportunity to make new friends and have fun. If you would like your children to come to the center, you can call the bus garage and make arrangements for them to be dropped off at the center. On Feb. 22, the students from the Cuyuna Range Youth Center will be going to the Care Center from 1:30–3 p.m. to spend time with the seniors. This is part of the GO (Generational Opportunities), a monthly collaboration with the Care Center. The objective of the GO Program is to bring generations together by sharing generational opportunities.

On Feb. 22, the Cuyuna Range Youth Center will conduct a “Winter Wonderland” teen dance at the youth center from 7–11 p.m. The cost is $3.50 and the dance is open to grades 7 – 12.

On Feb. 28, the Cuyuna Range Youth Center is having “Pizza Friday” at the youth center at 6 p.m. After the pizza, there will be a “Pool Tournament” with prizes being given. The event is for students in the seventh-12th grades.
