Court actions

The following recently were sentenced in Crow Wing District Court:

Gordon E. Mattsen, II, 34, Deerwood, was sentenced by Judge David Ten Eyck to 21 months in the Minnesota Correctional Facility in St. Cloud for first-degree property damage.

Eric J. Eisenbraun, 31, Aitkin, was sentenced by Judge Earl E. Maus to 90 days in Crow Wing County Jail, with sentence stayed for two years for misdemeanor driving while intoxicated (DWI).

David S. Wing, 23, Brainerd, was sentenced by Maus to one year in county jail, with 355 of those days stayed for two years for gross misdemeanor domestic assault. He was given credit for time served of 10 days.

Alicia L. Martin, 31, Brainerd, was sentenced by Maus to one year in county jail, with sentence stayed for three years for gross misdemeanor DWI.

Guy S. Boyles, 42, Pine River, was sentenced by Maus to five years of unsupervised probation for felony financial transaction card fraud. The sentence is a stay of imposition and successful completion of probation will result in a misdemeanor conviction.

Sherri L. Wolpert, 32, Sebeka, was sentenced by Maus to 13 months in the Shakopee prison, with sentence stayed for 13 months for fifth-degree drug possession.

Kathleen A. Woods, 52, Hillman, was sentenced by Ten Eyck to 10 years of supervised probation for felony theft. The sentence is a stay of imposition and successful completion of probation will result in a misdemeanor conviction.

John M. Sinotte, 53, Baxter was sentenced by Ten Eyck to 365 days in county jail, with 363 days stayed for three years for gross misdemeanor DWI. He was given credit for time served of two days.

Andrew L. Weiland, 33, Brainerd, was sentenced by Judge Kristine DeMay to one year in county jail, with sentence stayed for two years for gross misdemeanor stalking, with an intent to injure.

Wade S. Cummings, 32, Brainerd, was sentenced by Ten Eyck to one year in county jail, with sentence stayed for two years for gross misdemeanor traffic regulation/uninsured vehicle violation.

Tyler M. Ray, 28, Cass Lake, was sentenced by Ten Eyck to one year in county jail, with sentence stayed for two years for gross misdemeanor fifth-degree assault.

Editor’s note: In court terms, when a person is sentenced and given a time that is “stayed,” it means that if the person violates the terms of their probation, that they may have to serve the original jail/prison sentence that the judge imposed.
