Brainerd man injured in snowmobile crash

A 60-year-old Brainerd man was injured in a snowmobile crash reported at 11:40 p.m. Saturday along the 7300 block of Highway 371 in Brainerd, reported the Crow Wing County Sheriff’s Office.

James Derosier was transported by North Memorial Ambulance to Essentia Health-St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Brainerd. Derosier was in fair condition Tuesday.

Fargo man injured when snowmobile strikes tree

A 52-year-old Fargo, N.D., man was injured Monday when the snowmobile he was operating went off a trail and hit a tree, reported the Cass County Sheriff’s Office.

Mark Miller was transported to Essentia Health-St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Brainerd where he was treated for minor injuries. He has since been released.

The sheriff’s officer received a report at 11:36 a.m. of a snowmobile crash with injuries on a grant-in-aid snowmobile trail in Fairview Township in Cass County. Upon responding to the scene, deputies learned that a single snowmobile went off the trail and hit a tree, injuring the driver.

The Cass County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Pillager Fire and Rescue and North Memorial Ambulance.
