Fort Ripley boy injured in crash
A 6-year-old Fort Ripley boy was injured Monday when the vehicle he was a passenger in was involved in a two-vehicle broadside crash on Legend Lane and Lawson Road, near Highway 371 south of Brainerd, reported the Minnesota State Patrol.
Riley Wiersgalla was airlifted to North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale for non-life threatening injuries, where he was in fair condition.
Wiersgalla was a passenger in the vehicle driven by his mother, Ashly Johnson, 27, Fort Ripley, who was not injured.
It was reported that Johnson was driving a Chevrolet Equinox eastbound on Lawson Road and Phillip Trusty, 46, Brainerd, was driving a Ford truck northbound on Legend Lane when the two vehicles collided at the intersection. Trusty was not injured.
The crash was reported at 7:36 a.m.
The Crow Wing County Sheriff’s Department, the Brainerd Fire Department and North Memorial Ambulance assisted at the scene.
Brainerd man injured in crash
A 65-year-old Brainerd man was injured in a two-vehicle crash reported at 7:43 a.m. Friday on Northwest Second Street and Washington Street in Brainerd, reported the Brainerd Police Department.
Rollin Buck was transported to Essentia Health-St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Brainerd where he was treated and released.
The other driver, Seth M. Seidel, 24, Brainerd, was not injured.
