Bi-County Community Action seeks members

Bi-County Community Action Programs has openings on its board of directors for two low-income representatives, one from Cass County and one from Beltrami County. The term of office is three years.

The board members will be elected in April. The nomination process ends March 7. Low-income persons interested in serving on the Board of Directors are asked to contact the Bemidji BI-CAP Office at 218-751-4631 or toll free at 1-800-332-7161, for an application.

The board of directors meets every other month. Its purpose is to adopt the overall policies of the agency, review grant applications and reports, establish agency goals and priorities, and monitor and evaluate agency operations. Board members are reimbursed for travel and miscellaneous expenses.

I've worked at the Brainerd Dispatch with various duties since Dec. 7, 1983. Starting off as an Ad Designer and currently Director of Audience Development. The Dispatch has been an interesting and challenging place to work. I'm fortunate to have made many friends, both co-workers and customers.
