■ Brainerd man injured
in crash in Baxter
BAXTER — A 31-year-old Brainerd man was injured in a two-vehicle crash reported at 1:12 p.m. Saturday at the intersection of Excelsior Road and Highway 371 in Baxter, reported the Baxter Police Department.
Scott J. Phoenix, who was a passenger in a vehicle driven by Diane M. Long, 59, Brainerd, was transported by North Memorial Ambulance to Essentia Health-St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Brainerd where he was treated and then released.
Long and the other driver, Robert E. Murphy, 58, Nisswa, were not injured.
■ Snowmobiler injured in crash
A 35-year-old Brainerd man was injured Saturday when the snowmobile he was operating was involved in a crash with a vehicle at the intersection at Ward Avenue and Cinosam Road in Brainerd, reported the Crow Wing County Sheriff’s Office.
Peter Gustafson was taken to Essentia Health-St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Brainerd where he was treated and released.
The driver of the vehicle, Christine Westerlund, 27, Brainerd, was not injured.
The crash was reported at 1:08 p.m.
The Brainerd Fire Department and North Memorial Ambulance assisted the sheriff’s office at the scene.
