University of Minnesota Extension hosts two area dairy workshops
University of Minnesota Extension will sponsor two area dairy workshops in March. The events will be at Central Minnesota Credit Union in Sauk Centre on March 13, and Morrison County Government Center Meeting Room 1 in Little Falls on March 14. Both days’ programs are from noon to 2 p.m. Lunch will be sponsored by Central Minnesota Credit Union in Sauk Centre, and Midwest Machinery Company in Little Falls.
Topics covered at these workshops include the new dairy portions of the farm bill, milk quality in heifers and dry cows, leukosis, and land rent and crop budget tips for 2014. Presenters will be Emily Krekelberg, Dan Martens, and Brenda Miller, all educators with University of Minnesota Extension.
Central Minnesota Credit Union is located at 1181 S. Main St. in Sauk Centre, and the Morrison County Government Center is located at 213 First Ave. S.E. in Little Falls.
