■ Disability Day on the Hill is set for March 18

Disability Day on the Hill is March 18. It represents an opportunity for those affected by Lyme disease and co-infections to educate legislators and to impress upon them the impact that this disease is having on the lives of Minnesotans and to put a voice to what we need. While participants are free to bring up issues important to a specific geographical area, those attending are encouraged to bring up the following issues: 1. The lack of Lyme literate physicians. 2. The issues that Lyme patients are facing with insurance coverage. 3. The Minnesota Bill 1252, which was passed and is now in trial until 2015. For more information on that, go to this website, https://www.revisor.mn.gov/bills/text.php?number=HF1252&version=0&sessio....) Physicians will continue to need protection past the year 2015.
