Community invited to take 'Pregnant Pause'

STAPLES — Pregnant women, women thinking about getting pregnant, spouses, partners, friends, family and other supportive community members are invited to take a “Pregnant Pause” from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, March 22, in the lower level classrooms at Lakewood Health System’s Main Campus.

Pregnant Pause is an event that brings awareness to Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD). It is sponsored by Lakewood Health System, Staples Rotary and MOFAS.

The event is free and participants will enjoy samples of non-alcoholic beverages and snacks will be served. Participants will also have the opportunity to make crafts and enjoy other activities. Registered attendees will receive free baby gifts, a diaper bag filled with necessities and be entered for a chance to win other great door prizes.
