Two passengers injured in crash

ONAMIA — Two passengers were injured in a two-vehicle crash reported at 3:41 p.m. Tuesday on Highway 169, north of Onamia, reported the Minnesota State Patrol.

Fonda Powell, 21, Isle, and Kali Pendergayosh, 2, city unknown, were transported to the Mille Lacs Health System in Onamia for non-life threatening injuries.

Powell and Kali were passengers in a Chevrolet Impala driven by Jordan J. Moose, 24, Isle, who was not injured. Another passenger with Moose was Lance Villebrun, 22, Isle, who wasn’t injured.

It was reported that Moose was traveling southbound on Highway 169, when the car lost control on the snow and slush, crossed over the center line and struck a Buick Regal driven by Jason Fleischhacker, 41, Brainerd, who was not injured.

The Mille Lacs County Sheriff’s Office assisted the state patrol on scene.
