Blood donation opportunities-March 23

Upcoming blood donation opportunities available

Those interested in donating blood may do so from noon to 6 p.m. April 3, Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 35208 County Road 37, Crosslake; from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 4, First Lutheran Church, 424 South Eighth St., Brainerd; from 1-6 p.m. April 7, American Legion, 232 Fourth St., Ironton; from noon to 6 p.m. April 7, St. Mathias Catholic Church, 4529 County Road 121, Fort Ripley; from noon to 6 p.m. April 8, Pequot Lakes School, 30805 Olson St., Pequot Lakes; and from 1-7 p.m. April 8-9 and 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 10, St. Francis Center, 116 Eighth Ave. SE, Little Falls, Minn.

Interested persons may call 800-733-2767 or visit to make an appointment or for more information. All blood types are needed to ensure a reliable supply for patients. A blood donor card or driver’s license or two other forms of identification are required at check-in. Individuals who are 17 years of age (16 with parental consent in some states), weigh at least 110 pounds and are in generally good health may be eligible to donate blood. High school students and other donors 18 years of age and younger also have to meet certain height and weight requirements.
