Aaron Joseph Heuer of Isle pleaded guilty in Otter Tail County District Court to a count of second-degree criminal sexual conduct and four counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct. As part of the plea deal, Heuer will also plead guilty to a count of first-degree criminal sexual conduct in Mille Lacs County.

The 33-year sentence in the plea deal is only a recommendation to the judge. Heuer is set to be sentenced May 8 in Otter Tail County District Court.

Through his plea, Heuer admitted that he inappropriately touched four boys, ages 8 to 10, and taught them to have sexual contact with him last June while he was a volunteer fishing guide at Lutheran Island Camp in Henning. Similar incidents allegedly took place with two of the victims during a separate fishing trip that month in Aitkin County that was not connected to the camp, according to a criminal complaint.

Investigators believe Heuer knew all the boys before he had sexual contact with them, authorities said.
