A gas can transported in one of the vehicles involved in a personal injury crash Friday resulted in a spill.

The two-vehicle crash was reported about 3 p.m. Friday on Fifth Avenue Northeast in Brainerd.

Less than 5 gallons of gasoline was spilled.

At 4:20 p.m. Friday, firefighters responded to an alarm on the 15600 block of Birchwood Lane. A burner left on the stove scorched the food and set off the alarm before a fire was able to start. Firefighters investigated and ventilated the area.

At 5:26 p.m. Saturday, firefighters responded to a water flow alarm at Essentia Health on the 500 block of North Third Street in Brainerd. Investigating the scene, the fire department found faulty equipment. Firefighters were at the scene about 40 minutes.

At 5:45 p.m. Saturday, burned food was again the culprit in setting off an alarm on the 200 block of Buffalo Hills Lane. Firefighters investigated and ventilated the area.
