Minnesota state worker pay to rise
ST. PAUL - About 38,000 state workers are due to get raises after the House and Senate approved contracts.
Members of several state worker unions last year approved the contract. It gives them a 3 percent raise each year in the current two-year budget, but also requires employees to pay more toward insurance.
Rep. Steve Drazkowski, R-Mazeppa, said private employees are not seeing the same size raises.
