Baxter updates Wildflower, Franklin and Woida project timeline

BAXTER — An assessment hearing for the Wildflower, Franklin and Woida road

project in Baxter is planned May 20.

Construction is expected to begin in the first part of July.

Tuesday the Baxter City Council approved plans and specifications for the project along with advertising for bids. A bid opening is expected April 29 during a special council meeting. The assessment appeal periods ends June 19. According to the project timeline, another special council meeting is scheduled June 24 for the notice of the construction award with work to begin July 9. The project should be complete by Oct. 24.

The council has been meeting regularly in closed sessions to make property and easement acquisitions.
