on Easter Sunday

The Brainerd Fire Department responded to several calls Easter Sunday, beginning at 7:11 a.m. to an electrical fire on the roof of Perkins.

The restaurant was full of smoke and was evacuated. The fire was put out and the restaurant was back in operation that day. Firefighters cleared the scene at 7:46 a.m.

At 10:54 a.m., firefighters responded to a fire alarm at Trinity Lutheran Church, 1420 S. Sixth St. They were canceled en route.

At 5:01 p.m., firefighters responded to a burning complaint on the 6500 block of Austin Road. Then at 5:31 p.m., firefighters responded to a grass fire on the 12000 block of Eagle Drive in Baxter. They cleared the scene at 5:57 p.m.

The last call, at 6:16 p.m. was for a burning complaint on the 700 block of South Eighth Street. Firefighters were on scene for 11 minutes.
