Recreation fire burns on

The Brainerd Fire Department responded to a call at 10:34 a.m. Friday of a recreation fire on the 1500 block of Ninth Avenue Northeast. Firefighters responded and extinguished the fire.

Capt. Kurt Doree advises residents to make sure they completely extinguish their recreation fires when they are done, especially during the grass fire season.
