The following recently were sentenced in Crow Wing District Court:

Matthew J. Vogel, 19, Savage, was sentenced by Judge Earl Maus to one year in Crow Wing County Jail, with sentence stayed for two years for gross misdemeanor receiving stolen property.

Amanda B. Hochmayr, 31, Nisswa, was sentenced by Maus to 10 years of supervised probation for felony theft. Successful competition of probation will result in a misdemeanor conviction.

Sean M. Richey, 28, Baxter, was sentenced by Maus to 17 months in the Minnesota Correctional Facility in St. Cloud, with sentence stayed for five years for felony storing methamphetamine paraphernalia in the presence of a child or vulnerable adult. He also was sentenced to 15 months in prison, with sentence stayed for five years on fifth-degree drug possession.

Shelby Doust Harrington, 23, Onamia, was sentenced by Maus to one year in county jail, with sentence stayed for two years for gross misdemeanor charge of financial fraud.

Jayden A. Cardias, 19, Pequot Lakes, was sentenced by Maus to five years os supervised probation for felony of receiving stolen property. Successful competition of probation will result in a misdemeanor conviction.

David M. Szczodroski, 59, Brainerd, was sentenced by Maus to 21 months in the St. Cloud prison, with sentence stayed for 20 years for third-degree drug sale of a narcotic.

Vincent J. Beaulieu, 28, Onamia, was sentenced by Judge Richard Zimmerman to 17 months in the St. Cloud prison, with a credit of 394 days for time served for felony theft.

Sean M. Nicol, 45, Prior Lake, was sentenced by Maus to 48 months in the St. Cloud prison, with sentence stayed for 10 years for second-degree drug sale of three grams or more.

Donald E. Kuhn, 55, Brainerd, was sentenced by Judge David Ten Eyck to one year in county jail, with sentence stayed for two years for gross misdemeanor traffic violation of driving after cancellation-inimical to public safety.

Nathaniel Lee Raper, 19, Brainerd, was sentenced by Maus to five years of supervised probation for fifth-degree drug sale. Successful completion of probation will result in a misdemeanor conviction.

Ronald E. Demo, 47, Walker, was sentenced by Maus to 365 days in county jail, with sentence stayed for six years for gross misdemeanor criminal vehicular homicide or operation

Brianna Lei Miller, 34, Ham Lake, was sentenced by Maus to 15 months in the Shakopee prison, with sentence stayed for five years for felony of receiving stolen property.

Editor’s note: In court terms, when a person is sentenced and given a time that is “stayed,” it means that if the person violates the terms of their probation, that they may have to serve the original jail/prison sentence that the judge imposed.
