A small grass fire on Timber Lane, just off County Highway 23 east of Brainerd, burned against the wind Saturday.

The fire — reported at 7:11 p.m. — burned about 150 feet by 150 feet in a field.

The cause of the fire was unknown. No structures were threatened. No one was reported injured.

In other weekend calls, firefighters were called for a gas leak at 9:30 p.m. Friday on the 7300 block of Excelsior Road in Baxter. About 15 minutes later Friday, firefighters were called to a burning complaint on the 1700 block of Maple Street.

At 11:19 a.m. Saturday, firefighters responded to an alarm on the 7000 block of Clearwater Road in Baxter, which wasn’t actually a fire but instigated by a child who pulled the alarm.
