Residents escape mobile home fire without injury

Brainerd firefighters responded to a mobile home fire just after 10 p.m. Friday on Five Mile Road east of Brainerd.

Firefighters were on scene for about three hours. The home was occupied but residents were able to get out safely. The fire’s cause wasn’t determined as of Sunday.

When the Brainerd Fire Department arrived on scene fire was coming through the mobile home’s outer metal skin on the side above the single-wide’s skirting.

Firefighters were able to save the structure but it wasn’t known how much of the interior and belongings were damaged.
