Good Samaritan shares bounty with nonprofits
Good Samaritan Bowl this year partnered with area nonprofit organizations at the annual event at Jack’s House in Brainerd and Community Bowl in Pine River. The purpose of the event is to raise money for area senior services.
Good Samaritan Bowl invited 20 local nonprofits to “Share the Blessings” by sharing a silent auction. Each group was invited to be a partner in the silent auction by having its own table of items at the event on Sunday and Monday. Proceeds were to be divided among the participating groups to help further their work in the community.
“We are so humbled by the support and generosity of lakes area neighbors, Good Samaritan Bowl organizer Liz Csanda said. “It makes perfect sense to extend a hand of partnership to these other nonprofits in our community who depend on local support.“
Some of the partnering organizations include The Alex and Brandon Safety Center, BAY Ministries, Brainerd Lakes Curling Club, Confidence Learning Center, Relay for Life, Crossing Arts Alliance, Lakes Area Restorative Justice Program, Brainerd Noon Rotary, and many others.
The Good Samaritan Society- Communities of Brainerd, Nisswa and Pine River provide shelter and support to older adults and others in need.
