Condition of Chippewa National Forest boat accesses

CASS LAKE – Due to extreme ice shifting on area lakes, several Forest Service managed boat accesses on the Chippewa National Forest may be unusable for this weekend’s Minnesota Fishing Opener.

Examples include buckling of concrete planks on the ramps or blockage of the ramp by ice.

The Forest Service advises you to check ahead to see if the access you want to use will be safe to launch a boat.
