Teen injured when ATV flips

A 13-year-old teenager was injured when the all-terrain vehicle (ATV) he was operating crashed at 3:17 p.m. Sunday on Doe Trail in Brainerd, the Crow Wing County Sheriff’s Office reported.

Nathan D. Winter of Brainerd flipped the ATV while attempting to climb a steep sandy embankment, according to the sheriff’s office.

Deputies arrived on scene and assisted North Memorial Ambulance. Nathan was transported to Essentia Health-St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Brainerd. Information on Nathan’s condition was unavailable Monday.
