■ Arbor Day fundraiser
A huge thank you goes out to everyone that made the Northland Arboretum’s 8th Annual Arbor Day Fine Wine and Craft Beer Tasting fundraiser on April 25 such a success.

■ Spaghetti supper fundraiser
Our VFW Youth Baseball spaghetti supper fundraiser was very well attended. We wish to thank the coaches and ball players for selling tickets. Peggy and her crew did a great job in preparing the meal. The donated dessert bars were delicious. Thank you to all the volunteers who made things go so smoothly. The support of all who bought tickets is greatly appreciated.

■ National Day of Prayer
The 2014 National Day of Prayer in the Brainerd lakes area was a great success. The theme for the event was One Voice, United in Prayer. A special thanks to all who gathered in the cozy, warm sanctuary of the Salvation Army to lift up our voices in prayer and worship. A special thanks to all the Adult and Teen Challenge staff and students for leading us in two amazing worship songs. God hears our prayers and praises and we appreciate every person that was a part of this amazing event.

■ Northwoods UU Fellowship
The Northwoods Unitarian Universalist Fellowship would like to thank Stone Woman Herbals for donations of soap and Baxter SuperAmerica and Brainerd (South Sixth) Holiday stations for their donations of gasoline cards for the benefit of young women rescued from prostitution through the work of the Central Minnesota STOP Coalition. These items were included in emergency packets with gum, hygiene items, notebooks and pens put together by the fellowship recently.
