Farm Bureau hosts children's activities

Crow Wing County Farm Bureau will host a Kids Activity Play Area at the annual EAT (Education, Agriculture, and Technology) picnic from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Friday at the Crow Wing County Fairgrounds.

Activities are agriculture related and consist of a bean bag (made with soybeans) toss, a corn box where children can scoop and pour corn, a bubble blowing area (soap is made from cattle and pig by-products), and an agriculture picture coloring table (crayons made from soybeans).

The play area is made possible by a “Redefining Relavancy” grant from the Minnesota Farm Bureau Federation.

A live and a silent auction put on by the Brainerd FFA Alumni will focus on agriculture related items. Money raised will go to support the Brainerd FFA and agriculture education.
