Vehicle strikes pedestrian in Brainerd Thursday night

A 27-year-old Brainerd man was seriously injured Thursday night when he was struck by an Oldsmobile Regency as he walked southbound on the west side of the intersection of Highway 210, also known as Washington Street and Eighth Street in Brainerd, reported the Minnesota State Patrol.

Brandon L. Jones was transported by North Memorial Ambulance to Essentia Health- St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Brainerd, where he was discharged.

The collision occurred about 10 p.m.

Lisa M. Bellotti, 53, Little Falls, was traveling eastbound in the left lane of Highway 210. She had a green light and as her vehicle approached the Eighth Street intersection it struck Jones, the state patrol said.

Bellotti was not injured.

The Brainerd Police department and the Crow Wing County Sheriff’s Office assisted at the scene.
