Level 3 offender moving to Aitkin County
AITKIN—A 50-year-old Level 3 predatory offender is being released from prison on Aug. 13 and will move to an address in Spalding Township in Aitkin County.
The Aitkin County Sheriff's Office was notified by the Minnesota Department of Corrections that Ronald Leonard Koepke will be moving to Aitkin County. Koepke, who has been incarcerated in the Stillwater prison since Sept. 2, 2016, is not wanted by the police as he has served the sentence imposed on him by the court. The sheriff's office does not intend to increase fear in the community. Law enforcement believes an informed public is a safer public.
Koepke is an offender who possessed child pornography depicting minor females and was not known to his victims. Koepke is described a white, 5 feet, 8 inches tall and 204 pounds with hazel eyes, brown hair and a large build.
