Wadena man faces 18 child pornography charges
WADENA—33-year-old Christopher Michael Perry of Wadena was charged Friday in Wadena County District Court with 18 felony counts of possessing pornographic work involving a minor.
The Wadena Police Department reported photos and videos were found on Perry's home computer and his cellphone during the investigation. The police department assisted the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension with the case.
"We would like to take this opportunity to remind citizens that the children in these photos are being forced to conduct such behavior," Wadena Police Chief Naomi Plautz stated in a news release. "Please be vigilant in reporting suspicious activity involving minor children."
Plautz said people can go to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children's website at www.missingkids.com/home for more information. She also recommends people to sign up for Amber Alerts on their phone, which can be done on the website.
To report a child you believe is being sexually exploited call 1-800-THE-LOST or 800-843-5678.
