Brainerd firefighters respond to multiple calls

The Brainerd Fire Department responded to several calls over the holiday weekend.

• Tuesday: At 9:18 a.m., firefighters were called to a fire alarm at Four Winds Treatment Facility, 11600 State Ave., Brainerd. Firefighters were canceled en route.

• Monday: At 1:40 a.m., firefighters responded to a carbon monoxide alarm on the 4100 block of Cedar Scenic Road, which turned out to be a false alarm. Firefighters also were called at 6:42 p.m. to Herbergers, 14136 Baxter Drive, for a report of a gas leak. It was determined to be a maintenance matter.

• Sunday: At 5:20 p.m., firefighters were called to a vehicle fire on the 7300 block of Novotny Road. At 8:15 p.m., they were called for a possible gas leak at Heritage Assembly of God, 13242 Berrywood Drive, Baxter. Firefighters determined it to be a maintenance matter.

• Friday: At 3:36 p.m., firefighters responded to a vehicle crash on the Mill Avenue Bridge, where they assisted with traffic control. At 11:18 p.m., firefighters were called to the Olive Garden, 7399 Garrison Road, Baxter, for a water flow alarm. Upon investigation, it was determined to be a maintenance matter.
