Highway 169 crash injures man

A 48-year-old Isle man suffered injury Monday morning in a crash on Highway 169 near Onamia.

ONAMIA—A 48-year-old Isle man suffered injury Monday morning in a crash on Highway 169 near Onamia.

The Minnesota State Patrol responded to the crash at 9:43 a.m. at the intersection of highways 169 and 27. A 2004 Chevrolet Cavalier, driven by Collin Roger Tenbruin of Isle, entered the intersection traveling east and was struck by a 2013 Chevrolet Silverado traveling south on Highway 169, driven by 31-year-old Adam William Nesbitt of New Prague.

Tenbruin suffered non-life-threatening injuries in the crash and was transported to Mille Lacs Health System in Onamia. Nesbitt was not injured.

The state patrol reported the road was dry at the time of the crash.

Assisting at the scene were the Mille Lacs County Sheriff's Office, Onamia Police Department and Onamia Fire Department.
