Hokanson attends whole food nutrition seminar
Aaron J. Hokanson, doctor of chiropractic, recently attended Standard Process Fundamentals, a program that teaches the fundamental value of whole food nutrition to optimize patient health and well-being.
Presented by whole food supplement manufacturer Standard Process Inc., the two-day program was June 20-21 at Standard Process' corporate headquarters in Palmyra, Wis.
The educational program detailed the founding principles behind the Standard Process whole food philosophy. During the event, Hokanson learned about the value of whole food nutritional support. Hokanson and other seminar participants learned from chiropractor Bruce Bond, and doctor of oriental medicine and acupuncturist, David Hogsed.
Hokanson is a 2005 graduate of Northwestern College of Chiropractic and has a practice in Brainerd.
Ellis named Minnesota Social Service Accountants Member of the Year
Debbie Ellis, Crow Wing County program coordinator for administrative services in community services, was named the Minnesota Social Service Accountants Member of the Year at the Association of Minnesota Social Service Accountants conference held in Grand Rapids.
Ellis was cited for her professionalism, knowledge and commitment to sound accounting principles. According to Kara Terry, Director, Ellis is a committed and dedicated employee. "She is an integral member of the department and is very worthy of recognition," she said.
Ellis has worked for Crow Wing County for 35 years.
Accuracy Matter invites consumers to participate
The Greater Lakes Association of Realtors reported Realtor.com just launched a new promotion in support of its current #AccuracyMatters campaign.
This social media promotion runs through Aug. 18 and encourages consumers to share a photo or video of why accuracy matters to them for a chance at $10,000. Participants may submit entries through an image-rich microsite, therealtor.com, Facebook page or by using the hashtag #AccuracyMatters.
Dixon joins West Hair Boutique in Pillager
PILLAGER - Brooke Dixon is back in her hometown and has joined the West Hair Boutique in Pillager.
The Pillager High School graduate was at the Fine Line Salon and Spa for four years. She said moving to Pillager allow her to be closer to her family with a flexible schedule. West Hair Boutique is attached to the Shante Coffee Shop.

Marco has partnered with Applied Global Technologies (AGT) on its new Marco Managed Video (MMV) cloud-based video collaboration offering.
The MMV is powered by AGT's Video-as-a-Service platform that connects HD conference systems, desktops, web browsers and mobile devices in a single conference. Marco is expanding its managed information technology services portfolio with Marco Managed Video by providing the service to customers via a monthly fee.
