Crosby Police:  SCAMS—Report Thursday of two different scams. One scammer called the resident stating they won $2 million from the Publisher's Clearing House and they were suppose to sign over $500 to claim the prize. The residence hung up and there was no financial loss. The second scam was supposedly from the IRS and said something to the effect of "Can you hear me now?" Illustration

Little Falls police: EYEBROW ASSAULT - Report Thursday of a caller stating his eyebrow was cut by someone with hair clippers two days earlier. The caller asked the officer to inform the person who'd cut his eyebrow that he no longer wanted contact with him. Illustration

Brainerd police:  INFORMATION—Report at 5:13 p.m. Sunday of children walking on the ice on the Mississippi River. Officer located four children walking on a walkway near the location. The children admitted they had been on the ice and the officer advised them of how dangerous the ice is right now and to stay off of it.

The Morrison County Sheriff Office was called at 3:17 a.m. Friday to a report of a fire at the Darling Church. When deputies arrived the building was fully engulfed in flames. The Randall Fire Department responded and was able to keep the fire from spreading into the wood line; however the church was a total loss. Illustration
