THEFTS — Diana Eisel on Sunday reported her purse stolen from the Motley Motel, 165 River Front Lane.
Lisa Kulzer, 10000 block of Great River Road, Sunday reported the theft of $10 and a camera.
Mervin Dickson, 30000 block of 70th Avenue in Cushing, Saturday reported the theft of a tractor. He later called back and said he found his tractor and that someone had played a trick on him.
Robert Schestak, 3000 block of 100th Street in Swanville, Saturday reported a theft.
A $36.69 gas drive-off was reported Friday from Vet’s Super Stop, 125 Main St. in Pierz.
FIRE — At 5:49 p.m. Friday deputies responded to a grass fire near Northern Pines Mental Health in Little Falls. Deputies and Little Falls Police officers put the fire out with fire extinguishers.
PROPERTY DAMAGE — It was reported Friday that someone had damaged the women’s bath house at the Pierz Campground, 603 Park Ave. There was extensive damage to mirrors, light fixtures, light bulbs and hand dryers.
Lealand Siegel, 600 block of North Birch Street in Royalton, Friday reported his mailbox damaged.
Sheryl Johnson, 600 block of Degraff Avenue in Swanville, Friday reported damage to her property.
Arnold Akkerman, 3000 block of 330th Street in Motley, on Friday reported his and his neighbor’s mailboxes were damaged.
CRASH — No injuries were reported in a two-vehicle collision at 5:01 p.m. Friday at Highway 27 and 160th Avenue in Little Falls.
The Cass County Sheriff’s Department responded to 249 calls from April 25-May 1, including 67 medical situations, 23 alarm calls, 17 assists to the public, 13 reports of thefts, 12 attempts to locate individuals, 11 animal complaints, nine burglaries, eight reports of property damage, eight domestic disputes, six reports of disorderly conduct, five reports of disturbing the peace and five assaults.
SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY — At 12:58 p.m. Saturday officers received a report of a person standing at a street corner in Staples holding a sign. Officers made contact with the man, who was going to Fargo. He had a vehicle but wanted assistance.
CRASH — No injuries were reported in a two-vehicle, hit-and-run collision at 10:59 a.m. Thursday on the 200 block of Fourth Street Northeast.
DRIVING COMPLAINT — At 6:40 p.m. Wednesday officers assisted the State Patrol with a driving complaint on Highway 10 east of Staples. An officer stopped the suspect vehicle and learned the driver was lost and looking at a map in the vehicle.
PROPERTY DAMAGE — Dean Ogg, 700 block of Autumn Avenue Northeast, on Wednesday reported someone had spray painted profanity and inappropriate drawings on his garage.
It was reported April 25 that two buildings near the varsity baseball field at Staples-Motley High School, 800 block of Third Street Northeast, had been spray painted with inappropriate language and drawings.
ARREST — Arrested a 24-year-old man at 8:45 a.m. on April 25 on the 300 block of Second Street Southeast after receiving a report of possible illegal drug use and a reported non-compliant sex offender.
FIRE — At 2:39 p.m. Sunday officers assisted the Brainerd Fire Department with a grass fire on the 5000 block of Fairview Road.
PROPERTY DAMAGE — It was reported Saturday that a decorative globe fell off a street light at South Seventh and Front streets and broke due to high wind.
It was reported Saturday that a power pole was damaged by high winds on the 1000 block of Rosewood Street.
Michael Loeffelbein, 300 block of Second Avenue Northeast, Saturday reported his screen door damaged.
CRASHES — No injuries were reported in a two-vehicle collision at 10:30 a.m. Saturday on the 20 block of Washington Street.
No injuries were reported in a single-vehicle crash at 9:07 p.m. Friday at North Sixth and Holly streets. The driver was arrested for second-degree DWI.
No injuries were reported in a two-vehicle, hit-and-run collision at 2:36 p.m. Friday on the 600 block of Northwest Fourth Street.
THEFTS — Billie Berry, 600 block of Ninth Avenue Northeast, Saturday reported the theft of a television and computer.
Dwight Johnson, 700 block of South Fifth Street, Friday reported the theft of a bicycle.
ARRESTS — At 10:02 p.m. Friday officers received a report of a disturbance on the 600 block of Oak Street and arrested a 22-year-old man and an 18-year-old man for disorderly conduct and concealing their identities. It was reported at 7:24 p.m. on the 400 block of South Sixth Street that the suspects were wearing bandanas covering their faces.
At 12:44 a.m. Friday officers received a report of an intoxicated man knocking on the door of a residence on the 400 block of Fourth Avenue Northeast. Officers arrested a 24-year-old man for felony probation violation.
BURGLARY — Krista Johnson, 1000 block of Oak Street, Friday reported a burglary.
SCAM — On Sunday the sheriff’s department responded to a phone scam in which a resident was scammed out of a large amount of money. The caller identified themselves as a family member of the victim and stated he was in need of money for bail and other damages as a result of a traffic accident in Mexico. The sheriff’s department encourages people to be cautious of such situation and to avoid sending money unless they are absolutely sure of where it is going. CRASH — No injuries were reported in a two-vehicle, rear-end collision at 1:02 p.m. Monday at Highway 71 and Todd County Road 14.
PROPERTY DAMAGE — Shawn Ehlert, owner of Shipwrex Bar on Todd County Road 103, Thursday reported damage to the establishment.

SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY — At 2:57 p.m. Sunday a Garrison woman reported strange noises at her neighbor’s house the previous night, and she thought there was a Russian female there. A deputy checked the residence and there was no indication of recent activity.
ARREST — At 8:24 a.m. Sunday deputies assisted the Baxter Police Department on the 10000 block of Kirkwood Drive with arresting a 43-year-old man for felony probation violation.
THEFTS — A gas drive-off was reported Saturday from the Holiday Station, 21004 Crow Wing County Road 1, in Emily.
It was reported Saturday that an outboard motor was stolen from the 10000 block of Stallman Road.
BURGLARIES — Christopher Villella, 10000 block of Highway 371, Saturday reported a burglary.
Stephen Nichols, 700 block of South Bay Lane, Saturday reported his cabin was broken into.
