Police blotter- June 23

Crow Wing sheriff

ANIMAL — Received a report about 3 p.m. Monday of three large black animals in the woods on the 21000 block of Bluegill Road in Irondale Township. The caller believed the animals were either heifers or bears. 

Received a report from a 14000 block Buley Avenue resident Monday that a dog attacked her chickens and killed one and injured two.

Roseann Mackenthun, Irondale, Tuesday reported cows in her yard.

CRASHES — No people were reported injured in a vehicle/deer crash on 11:11 p.m. Monday on North Koering and Lennox roads in St. Mathias Township. 

No one was reported injured in a crash at 5:10 p.m. Monday at Northwest Fourth and Washington streets. 

ARREST — A 28-year-old man was arrested at 10:06 p.m. Tuesday off Three Mile Road for burglary and domestic assault. The arrest came after a report of an assault by an ex-boyfriend.

A 28-year-old man was arrested Tuesday on a Cass County warrant and felony probation.

A 21-year-old man was arrested Tuesday on a county warrant for felony fleeing and driving while intoxicated. The man is being held in Stearns County Jail on a warrant in that county.

A 21-year-old man was arrested Tuesday at the 6000 block of Estate Circle Drive on four county warrants, which include third-degree burglary and terroristic threats.

THEFT — Todd Smude, Roosevelt Township, Tuesday reported that he loaned a step-brother a saw and he was told it was in the pawn shop.

Anderson Brothers Construction Tuesday reported the theft of road cones at Crooked Road and North Nelson Road.

Kay Cooper, Deerwood, Tuesday reported that gas was siphoned out of vehicle sometime over weekend.

Dorothy Portz, 10000 block of State Highway 210, Brainerd, Tuesday reported a theft of her vehicle.

OTHER — Christina Lecompte, 700 block of West College Drive, Tuesday reported that someone pushed her to the floor and yelled at her.

ARREST — A 26-year-old man was arrested Tuesday on a Department of Corrections warrant on the 1600 block of Pine Street.

BURGLARY — Rasheia Robinson, 1000 block of Quince Street, Tuesday reported a burglary.

FRAUD — Linda Anderson, 100 block of Kelly Rae Road, Tuesday reported fraudulent checks.

THEFT — Tammy Parks, 10000 block of Sleepy Hollow Road, Tuesday reported a theft.

ARREST — A 52-year-old man was arrested Tuesday after a report at 1:05 p.m. at the Roadway Inn, 7636 Fairview Rd., of an unresponsive guest in a hotel room.

PROPERTY DAMAGE — Laurie Berg Tuesday reported that a mailbox was removed from the 13000 block of Park Street and placed at the 1300 block of Timberlane Drive.

PROPERTY DAMAGE — Received a report Monday from the 19800 block of 233rd Street, Little Falls, of damage to a shed, which was pushed off its wooden foundation and one-ton pickup pushed with a skid loader. An old tractor was also pushed out of place. One of the individuals reported someone broke in to a shed and had taken the skid loader on a joy ride.

ASSIST — Assisted Little Falls Police Department 1:09 a.m. Monday on the 1600 block of Lindbergh Drive South in Little Falls after multiple alarms were tripped. A bat was discovered flying around the basement. The bat was removed and alarm reset.

THEFT — Three males were issued citations after officers received a report at 12:30 a.m. Sunday they were tampering with a boat behind a residence on Oak Street near 11th Avenue Southwest. Two males were located in the alley behind Fourth Street in Ironton and another male decided to run and was located a short time later in Ironton. The investigation found the males were attempting to steal the motor off a boat parking in a residential yard. The males, age 21 and 20 from Deerwood and a 20-year-old from Ironton, were issued citations for tampering with a motor vehicle, attempted theft and underage consumption of alcohol. 

Received a report of a stolen bicycle June 13 from Third Street Southwest. 

Lakewood Cemetery June 13 reported theft of flowers and a flower pot.

A gas drive-off was reported June 15 on Oak Street Southwest. 

CRASH — Received a call June 13 a vehicle struck and damaged a sign at Crosby City Park on First Avenue Northwest. The driver was determined to be fatigued. 

SUSPICIOUS — Received a report June 13 of a group of juvenile males going in and out of a building on Fourth Street Southwest. Parents were notified and all were transported home. Reports were possibly being forwarded to Lakes Area Restorative Justice Program. 

Officers were dispatched June 13 to a report of unusual lights emitting from the area and into windows. Nothing was found. 

An officer responded to a call of a male lying on the curb by an Oak Street business on June 14. The officer woke up the male with some difficulty and he was transported to Cuyuna Regional Medical Center by ambulance. 

Received a report of a suspicious occupied vehicle at 11:45 p.m. June 16 on Eighth Street Northeast. Occupants of two vehicles were identified and asked to leave. 

Received a shooting complaint Sunday in the Hematite and Erie areas. Two males were found target practicing in the area in a safe and legal manner. 

LOST CHILD — Received a report June 14 of a lost child on a bike from the Pennington-Portsmouth areas. A short time late the child was located on a bike off County Road 30 and the Pennington Road. 

BAD BEHAVIOR — An officer overheard bad language coming from a male juvenile June 17 at Crosby Skate park. The officer advised the male the first time. When the same words were heard again, the male was banned from the park for a week and written up in the event of future violations. 

ASSIST — Assisted Crow Wing County with an intoxicated male who was walking into traffic June 18 on County Road 28 and Beach Road. 

PROPERTY DAMAGE — Reported a County Road 30 sign was spray painted. 

INFO — The owner of a truck called Sunday to state his lug nuts fell off one of his vehicle’s wheels in Erie Avenue area and he would be temporarily out in the street until he could get it fixed. 

Little Falls police

PROPERTY DAMAGE — No injuries were reported in a hit and run accident at 10:31 a.m. Wednesday on Broadway Avenue East and Third Street.

No injuries were reported in a two-vehicle accident at 5:26 p.m. Tuesday on Ninth Avenue Northwest and Paul Larson Drive.

Neil Christenson, 700 block Highland Avenue, Tuesday reported a property damage incident.

Nathaniel Ferguson, 200 block of Eighth Street Southeast, Monday reported a property damage incident.

No injuries were reported in a two-vehicle accident at 2:15 p.m. Sunday on Ninth Street Northeast.

Sentra Sota Sheet Metal, 300 Sixth St. S.W., Monday reported damage to a fork life sometime over the weekend. Someone broke out both of the windows and also damaged the gas tank and the hydraulics line.

No injuries were reported in a two-vehicle accident at 8:07 a.m. Monday on Ninth Avenue Northeast and Lindbergh Drive.

THEFT — Leann Bristlin, 100 block of Sixth Street Northwest, Wednesday reported a theft of safety glasses from her vehicle.

Officers responded to a report Tuesday of a stolen vehicle at the 700 block of Fifth Avenue Southwest.

Jon Hansmann, 700 block of First Street Northeast, Sunday reported the theft of a vehicle.

A woman Saturday reported that her purse was stolen while working at a booth at the Dam Festival.

Robin Julius, 800 block of Eighth Street Northwest, Friday reported that her vehicle was broken into.

ASSAULT — A woman, 400 block of Third Street, Wednesday reported that she was assaulted. She was extremely intoxicated and was advised to make a formal complaint when she was sober.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT — Officers responded to a report at 1 a.m. Wednesday of an intoxicated male at Falls Bar, 107 First St. N.E., who was unruly and refusing to leave.

ARREST — A 24-year-old man was arrested at 11:59 p.m. Saturday at Maple Island Park, First Street Southeast for disorderly conduct.

A 22-year-old man was arrested at 11:56 p.m. Saturday at Maple Island Park, First Street Southeast because he was intoxicated and later learned he had a warrant out of Stearns County.

An 18-year-old man was arrested at 11:40 p.m. Saturday for underage drinking and a warrant.

A 25-year-old intoxicated man was arrested at 9:18 p.m. Saturday after officer made contact with him at the Dam Festival on a Crow Wing County warrant.

A 23-year-old man was arrested at 4:01 a.m. Sunday at the 600 block of Third Street Northeast after a call about a domestic.

A 27-year-old man was arrested Saturday after a domestic disturbance at the 200 block of Fourth Avenue Northwest.

A 24-year-old man was arrested at 10:22 p.m. Friday after being involved in an altercation and there was a warrant for his arrest.

INDECENT EXPOSURE — A report at 3:14 p.m. Saturday of a guy who got out of a white car on Seventh Street Northeast and did his thing exposing himself and then took off. Later the officer heard that the man urinated on the sidewalk.

BURGLARY — Anna Kalis, 500 block of 12th Street Southwest, Saturday reported a break-in to a garage.

VANDALISM — Tammy Denery, Staples, June 14, reported that someone smashed her mailbox.

A report Wednesday of mailbox vandalism on County Road 18 where someone was setting off fireworks in the mailboxes.
