CRASHES — No people were reported injured in a car/deer crash reported at 9:16 p.m. Thursday on the 10000 block of Wise Road.
A vehicle/deer crash was reported at 8:17 p.m. Thursday on the 26000 block of County Highway 3 in Center Township. The deer needed to be dispatched.
A car/deer crash was reported at 4:17 p.m. Thursday on County Road 127 and County Highway 3 in Lake Edward Township.
WATER COMPLAINT — Responded to complaint at 7:38 p.m. Thursday on Loon Lake in Crosslake of boat that was too loud. Talked to boat owner and advised to be more considerate of others and go on a bigger lake.
THEFT — Coralyn Lass, 4000 block of Sleepy Hollow Road, St. Mathias Township, Thursday reported theft of mail.
PROPERTY DAMAGE — Received a report Thursday from the 5000 block of County Highway 2 in St. Mathias Township of damage to a mailbox.
SUSPICIOUS — Received a report at 12:05 a.m. Friday of a suspicious male lying in the grass near a business on the 300 block of West Washington Street. The individual was highly intoxicated and transported to a his girlfriend’s residence.
Received a call at 12:30 a.m. from a resident on Birchridge Drive of someone ringing the doorbell and leaving. No one was located in that area.
PROWLER — Received report at 11:11 p.m. Thursday on the 500 block of Sixth Avenue Northeast of someone yelling and running around the area. The officer responded and all was quiet.
BURNING COMPLAINT — Received a report 9:45 p.m. Thursday on the 1000 block of Chicago Avenue or a group of young kids trying to start a brush pile on fire in his yard. Subjects denied trying to start a fire but were shooting off fireworks and said they were out of fireworks now and there would be no future problems.
THEFTS — Linda Rudrud, 1400 block of Oak Street, Thursday reported a stolen purse, taken between her residence and a grocery store.
Robert Mose, 2400 block of Kermit Lane, Thursday reported theft of lawn fence and tools.
Gloria Rosekrans, 100 block of Laurel Street, Thursday reported theft of Avon products.
Thomas Taylor 11000 block of Industrial Park Road, Thursday reported theft of a step ladder from an open trailer.
WELFARE CHECK — Received a request for a welfare check at 6:05 p.m. Thursday from the 700 block of South Seventh Street. The caller said a 4-year-old girl they didn’t know had been playing in their yard since 3:30 p.m. The girl was located and returned to her mother and the incident reported to Social Services.
PROPERTY DAMAGE — A female, on Third Avenue, Thursday reported receiving obscene voicemail and two tires slashed.
Park and Recreation Thursday reported a toilet smashed in a men’s room on the 1600 block of Northeast Washington.
RETURNED — A man came in to the Brainerd Police Department on East River Road Thursday and brought in a Crow Wing County sergeant’s badge, saying it was given to him as a child. The badge was forwarded to the sheriff’s office.
BURGLARY — A burglary was reported at 12:50 p.m. Thursday on the 200 block of First Avenue Northeast.
CRASH — A minor crash was reported without injuries at 12:06 p.m. Thursday on the 500 block of Laurel Street.
GARBAGE DUMP — Garbage was reportedly being thrown out in large amounts from the driver and passenger windows of a gray Chevy van at 7 a.m. Thursday on Mill Avenue near the ball field.
CITATION — Gave a citation to a driver at 10:03 p.m. Thursday at Highway 371 and Lake Forest Road for unreasonable acceleration.
THEFT — Michael Austin, 15000 block of Dellwood Drive, Thursday reported theft of tackle.
PROPERTY DAMAGE — Joseph Klein, Thursday reported damage to park equipment at the 12500 block of Mountain Ash Drive.
